New to 2022 we have also added our electric hook up camping pitch which is located at the bottom of the camping field. This area is reserved for electric hook up tent camping only. This pitch area is located at the bottom of the field so it is nice and secluded, however, this then makes it a bit of a trek for the showers and toilets.
Its been said that we have one of the flattest camping fields in Wales which is wonderful. Plenty of space for you to choose your own pitch and we don’t like to “squeeze” you in. Quality not quantity. All that we ask is that you are considerate to your fellow campers when you are pitching up, there’s plenty of space for everyone.
You can choose to pitch near to the babbling River Usk or the quiet area at the bottom of the field, however, be warned its quite a long trek to the toilets!! Strong bladders are required. Where ever you want to pitch, the choice is yours. Enjoy use of our picnic benches.
If you would like any day guests to visit you while you stay with us, please be advised of the following: Day guests visiting you at Ynysfaen are permitted with prior permission due to number of people on site. The charge per person is £10, payable on arrival. Arrival time is 1pm onwards with departure by 8pm.

Check in time is strictly between 1pm and 6pm. Check out is 11.00am. Please where possible choose an accurate time slot. With only the two of us here to welcome you, accurate check in times are crucial for us. We appreciate traffic can hinder your journey so where possible, please let us know if you’re delayed, thank you.

This is one of the most beautiful and clean campsites I have ever stayed at in a long lifetime of travel and camping. The site is kept scrupulously clean and tidy, and is finished with a decorator's touch. The shower/toilet block is perfectly clean and well organised, and there are lots of thoughtful ideas for entertainment provided in the communal space. Elaine and Duncan are generous and friendly hosts who do everything in their power to make sure everyone is having a good holiday.

This is a special place: beautiful, serene, and extremely well-run. Elaine and Duncan are marvelous hosts, warm and attentive. The facilities are spotless and thoughtfully appointed, with a commendable emphasis on sustainability. I had two lovely nights on their level, grassy pitch by the babbling Usk. Can't wait to return with my family soon.

Pricing
£35 per night (based on 2 people)

Use of showers are included in this price.
We allow two pitches per week for booking in well behaved dogs. You are welcome if you book in advance, at £2 per night per dog. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times while on site due to surrounding farmland and our insurance policy. All doggy do do’s must be taken off site to “complete” where possible and dogs MUST be cleaned up afterwards. We do supply a doggy do do bin and we have a supply of do do bags if you need them. We also have a dog watering bowl located at the front entrance to Ynysfaen so they can refresh after their long treks.
We only allow campfires if logs and kindling are purchased (only £5 for both) from ourselves. Fire pits are provided free of charge which we would prefer you to use due to the safety aspect. We can also supply a BBQ (where available) with a bucket of charcoal for £5. Please be advised that we are only able to take cash payments while on site.
Arrivals and Departures
Check-In: You can check-in between 1.00pm and 6.00pm on the first day of your booking. Upon arrival at the site, please check-in at the house.
Check-out: Please by 11.00am.
Groups
We do not allow any sort of hen/stag party groups (large bookings available on request, please contact us) unless you’re wanting a quiet relaxed break away before your wedding and not the normal “Hen/Stag” type parties. We do not accept any Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
Bank Holiday Weekends
Due to the complexity and demand of bank holiday weekends we have a minimum of two nights booking.

Full payment via our website booking system will be taken at the time of booking.
Other Information
Please note we do not have any electric hook-ups for general camping or any plug points in our shower block for electrical appliances.

There is no mobile phone reception or Wifi at Ynysfaen, which allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle completely, but a short walk up the hill will ensure you can catch the odd message or email… that’s if you want to be contacted!
We have a strict no noise policy after 10.00pm. We would prefer that you do not play any sort of music but if you do, please ensure that it is only audible for yourselves. Alternatively you can sit and listen to the river babbling away and some of the many birds that we have around the site. Please be advised that we do not allow any sort of “outdoor home cinema” set ups.

Terms
If you need to cancel your holiday before your arrival date and we are able to re-let your holiday, we will refund your payment less a 20% admin fee. In the event that we are unable re-let your dates, no refunds will be made. If you are concerned about the prospect of cancelling, please take out holiday insurance. Bookings are not transferable to another family without our prior agreement.
